• smart pet shop When the UK government launched its Decarbonisation and energy efficiency roadmap 2050 project – working with the UK’s eight most energy intensive manufacturing industries, including glass – British Glass saw an opportunity to develop a new type of relationship with policy makers. British Glass is organising a one-day seminar on funding for decarbonisation and energy efficiency work on Thursday 2 November (north of England, venue TBC) – which will be attended by British Glass members’ and non-members. The Method and Madness range includes four new Irish whiskeys. Each whiskey has its own twist; a single pot still Irish whiskey finished in French chestnut, a single grain Irish whiskey finished in virgin Spanish oak, a single malt Irish whiskey enhanced by French limousin oak and a 31-year-old single cask, single grain limited edition bottled at cask strength. “Our entry for this award is a thank you to them for their vision and willingness to do things differently. It’s also a thank you to BEIS for the courage and far-sightedness they have shown in working constructively with industry to fit their approach to the needs and circumstances of UK manufacturing.” We’ve been determined to create a more productive conversation and shared vision for improving competitiveness through decarbonisation and energy efficiency – and to get people on all sides to understand one another and be ready to play their part.
