Awarded a UK patent, Senior’s PURe® range of energy-efficient aluminium windows and doors is the first on the UK market to benefit from an enhanced thermal barrier manufactured from expanded polyurethane foam (PUR). Traditionally used in cladding and insulation products, the innovative use of PUR as a thermal barrier in windows and doors gives the PURe ® range the potential to achieve U-values as low as 0.71W/m2 K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window and 0.93W/m2 K when calculated as a CEN standard door. The programme will seek to provide applicable and commercially relevant insight – and British Glass wants to hear from potential presenters who have successfully implemented energy and carbon reduction projects in large-scale manufacturing (in any relevant sector) by securing funds from:This beautiful bespoke bottle was designed by M&E Design. It perfectly demonstrates how glass can be used as a vessel for ambition, style, and sophistication. The bottle was created with none of the usual visual cues of a standard whiskey bottle. Instead, it was crafted to celebrate the liquid inside and the process behind its creation. The design takes its cues from laboratory glassware found in the micro-distillery and the paneling of a whiskey cask. It has been shaped to refract and bounce light. The side panel embossing produces a Kaleidoscope of patterns within the body of the bottle, bringing Method and Madness together. “We’re very proud of the way that the glass industry has come together to face the challenge of energy efficiency and decarbonisation - which will continue to define all manufacturing and markets for the coming decades. “Our entry for this award is a thank you to them for their vision and willingness to do things differently.
